Empowering our clients to venture beyond the big box store.

The design process starts with you. We are a husband + wife duo who love transforming visions into reality for our clients. Meet Seth Moyer, Owner and Artisan Woodworker
Seth began pursuing woodworking and furniture design several years ago. Seth noticed a need in both the design world and retail market for thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted custom furniture and cabinetry, so he decided to delve into woodworking entrepreneurship with his wife.
He has a background in woodwind musical instrument repair, which helped him develop his attention to fine detail and appreciation of high quality standards that set his workmanship apart. Seth enjoys designing and crafting furniture pieces that incorporate unique, unexpected and transformative design elements. Seth works closely with Greta in the design phase of a project as our 3D visual rendering specialist, gaining an intimate understanding of a project from conception to the final stages of craftsmanship.
Meet Greta Moyer, Owner and Designer
Greta focuses on social media marketing, client relations, and furniture/cabinetry design for Beyond Stock. Greta facilitates the website design and manages all social media accounts for the company, keeping our content fresh and exciting. In addition, Greta works closely with designers and retail clients in the design phase of a project to ensure every detail is perfect. She then coordinates these details with our craftsmen and collaborating artisans to provide an experience and final product that is beyond expectations. With a background in both education and customer service, Greta enjoys meeting new clients and helping them to transform their ideas into a tangible reality. She is a firm believer in the benefits of sustainable design and thoughtful craftsmanship, exuding passion for the industry, the craft, and the highest level of client satisfaction. Even though her primary responsibilities include marketing, client/vendor relations, and design, Greta doesn't mind getting her hands dirty and being a part of the creative process.

Meet Bernie Stemplinger, Master Craftsman and Artisan Woodworker
Bernie has been in the woodworking trade for nearly 50 years. His love of wood started at the young age of 18, when he began an apprenticeship under a skilled German craftsman. Through this experience, he mastered the skills of pattern making, woodcarving, and carpentry. Bernie continued to pursue careers throughout his life that involved woodworking entrepreneurship in some form, ranging from crafting custom furniture to designing and building custom kitchens and homes. Bernie has taken on an advisement roll in our business as he continues to enjoy partial retirement. We are eternally grateful to Bernie for sharing his experience and expertise, which have been integral in shaping us as successful business owners and thoughtful artisans.
A note from our owners...
Our commitment to achieving the highest level of customer service begins with the client.

We recently attended a business convention for Vistage Worldwide. Like many professional development opportunities, you’re encouraged as a business owner to identify what sets you apart from similar businesses and build on those unique qualities. There are several things about our business culture that are notably different, but one of the most important aspects of who we are is our passion for education. We encourage our clients to visit us at our studio to learn more about us, what we do, and why we love it. And if they are in the market for live edge furniture, we encourage them to visit our slab supplier with us. They learn all about the harvesting, milling, and kiln drying processes from our supplier who shares his passion, all while providing a sense of that indescribable Lancaster County hospitality. They are able to peruse all the available slabs, walk inside the kiln, look at the big machinery (and even watch it in action if it happens to be a milling day!) and gaze at the stacks of sawn lumber that practically reach to the clouds. They learn about the responsible way to harvest this wood and how we strive to preserve its integrity and highlight its beauty as we transform it into a unique furniture piece. We love what we do. We often compare wood shopping to wedding dress shopping - all the slabs are beautiful and unique, but you’re sure to find “the one” that speaks to you and is just perfect for your home. These furniture pieces are carefully and thoughtfully made. Not only will you smile when you walk by this unique heirloom, but you will know the story, the process, and the passion that goes into creating each unique piece. You’ll be proud to share the story with your friends and family and eventually pass it on to your children. If you’re looking for a cultural and educational experience, let us help you transform furniture shopping into something that will be remembered forever.

Fondly,
Greta + Seth Moyer

The story behind our logo...

We didn’t want the “traditional” woodworkers logo using block planes, saws, and other tools; we wanted to create something more meaningful and personal. It is a logo that is infused with many symbolic aspects that define who we are. We used the outline of the state of PA, not only because of our location, but because all of our domestic hardwoods are PA grown and harvested, most right here in Lancaster! Local sourcing is very important to us. We envisioned the state of PA as a live edge piece of wood (also a large part of our business), so we incorporated a crack resembling the Susquehanna river, and the red bow tie inlay is placed at the location of Lancaster County. The bow tie is red as a representation of our red rose city. The different fonts of the words “Beyond” and “Stock” are symbolic of the many unique designs we create in our shop, which compliment a vast array of personal styles.
